Bewitching Makeup

Bring out your inner siren with the gorgeous Inika Le Rouge et Le Noir Set (£45). Inspired by the love of all things dark and mysterious, this perfect combination of makeup can create the ultimate smoky eyes and lustrous red lips.

Inika is a natural, premium makeup range, Organic certified, vegan and cruelty free. With high performance products to match Inika’s high ethical standards, the range performs well on all fronts.

Firstly, shade the eyelid with Inika Mineral Eyeshadow (£12.95) in shade ‘Lust’. Use this gorgeous mid-green tone to create the base. Then, contour the eye area with Inika Mineral Eyeshadow in shade ‘Seduction’, to create more of a smoky eye look. Finish off with Inika Mineral Eyeliner Pencil (£12.15) in ‘Black Caviar’, the perfect product to really emphasise the eye. It can be blended easily with its creamy texture; it glides easily over eyes and delivers good depth of colour. The complimentary sharpener lid is a bonus, too.

The kit also contains Inika Mineral Lipstick (£14) in shade ‘Electric Red’. A delicious burnt red colour with orange undertones, this can create a lustrous lip to perfectly compliment the siren inspired style. Always desirable, this shade is a classic.

Buddha Nose: New at Naturisimo

Buddha Nose offers something a little different. This range of balms, sprays and scrubs soothe, strengthen and nourish. Only USDA certified organic ingredients are used when available, and recyclable packaging means you do your bit for the environment, too.

The range contains products with a purpose, combining the energetic dynamics of shiatsu, a Japanese form of traditional medicine, with essential oils. Feeling congested? Buddha Nose Deep Breathe Balm (£20) relieves dry skin all over, soothes congestion and clears the mind. Are you suffering with your hormonal cycle? Try Buddha Nose Girl Balm (£20), a treatment balm to help with aches and moods associated with hormonal mood shifts. Feeling fatigued? Buddha Nose I Booster Salve (£20) can help provide energy and wake you up. The balms are extremely conditioning and rich, without leaving any nasty residue on the skin. They smell great and the essential oils work their magic. Although it may seem a little expensive for a balm, the tins are generous and would last a long time.

The range also includes bath tea sachets- try Buddha Nose Detox Bath Tea Sachets (£25) for example if in need of de-stress- as well as other body care products. The body mists are quite unique; Buddha Nose I Booster Spray (£20) designed to inspire confidence and energy, and Buddha Nose Heart Spray (£20) to calm emotions and leave you feeling soothed.

There will be something here for everyone; a little bit of therapy for life’s little problems.

Makeup Bag Must Have

A good red lipstick can never be wrong to me. Sure, it may come in and out of fashion, like painted nails and shades of eye shadow. But time after time, a red lipstick era comes around again and I love it. There is something so ultimately classic about red lipstick, something glamorous and timeless. And, there is ALWAYS a shade and formulation to suit you. Matte, velvet, sheer, coral, crimson, vibrant red...the options are endless. Why choose? Personally, I’d love one of everything!

If you are looking for a beauty steal, then try BWC Moisturising Lipstick (£9.99). 100% vegan with over 40% certified jojoba oil content, this formulation is so conditioning. The lipsticks are designed for all day wear and have special properties to ensure a long lasting look. The shade ‘Rosehip’ is a brilliant coral red, my favourite in the Beauty Without Cruelty range.

For a lush bright red, give Ilia Lipstick (£19.95) in shade ‘Wild Child’ a go. Ilia Beauty lipsticks give superior colour performance and have a high percentage of certified organic contents, to nourish the skin. This one would be a go-to product when you want a vibrant red shade.

Vapour Siren Lipstick (£18) in the beautiful shade ‘Tryst’ has to be an ultimate universal colour. A long-wearing, moisturizing lipstick in a flattering tone, containing 70% Certified Organic ingredients and 30% natural mineral pigments & vitamins, this is one suited to all skin tones.

Tame Your Tresses

It is a funny thing, our relationship with our hair. We wash, towel dry, blow dry, curl, straighten, wear up, wear down... and then wonder why it might not always look its best. My hair doesn’t like me very much right now- my obsessive use of straighteners is the main culprit. So, on a quest to show my hair some love, here are some of my favourite treats to do just that.

My perfect shampoo: John Masters Honey & Hibiscus Reconstructing Shampoo (£26) LOVE it. Feels gentle, yet rebuilds hair with each wash as it cleans, using the same acids found in young hair. I swear my hair feels different after use and the scent is great too.

Best conditioner: I adore Intelligent Nutrients Harmonic Conditioner (£18). I love mint scents and this one is like an invigorating wakeup call every time I use it; my scalp literally tingles. The formulation is really light, and comes in a generous 444ml size- it lasts for ages. The bottle is made of recyclable plastic, the product is vegan, Gluten Free, USDA Organic certified...basically, it ticks every box.

The ultimate luxury: Caudalie Divine Oil (£25). Yes, this is a dry oil. Yes, it is multi-use. But for taming flyaway hair and split ends it works just as well as any specific hair oil I have tried. The fragrance is divine (maybe the reason for the name?), it really works without leaving hair greasy, and you can use it anywhere else you fancy too, even in the bath. Top marks.
